What We Talk About in Your Appointment
During these discussions, we emphasize the importance of pausing to consider all options. It’s crucial for women to have the necessary time to thoroughly evaluate the choices ahead, each of which will significantly affect their lives. Some women believe they can terminate the current pregnancy and try again later when the circumstances are more favorable. However, future pregnancies are never certain. While this pregnancy may be unplanned, it could lead to an unexpectedly different yet fulfilling future.

Balancing Pregnancy and Your Education
Education is a priority for many of these women, and we wholeheartedly support their educational aspirations. It is entirely feasible to continue education while raising a child (see our blog post about Motherhood and Higher Education). A child whose mother is committed to completing her education will see a powerful example of perseverance and achievement. At Insight Women’s Center, we support women in very practical and helpful ways as they move forward with educational pursuits. Additionally, we provide complimentary housing at our new Selah Home during pregnancy and up to one year after the baby’s birth. Conveniently, our home is located adjacent to the KU campus!

What About Adoption?
For younger women, particularly those in high school, adoption is a very viable option that allows them to continue their education while also giving their child a chance at life. Each path requires different decisions, and we stand ready to support these incredible women in reaching their goals.
