SRT recovery services and care offered at IWC include:

Unwanted pregnancy medical services and care – To help with the trauma you are experiencing from an unwanted pregnancy, we offer pregnancy verification, limited ultrasound, and options education. We provide a safe atmosphere for you to learn about your pregnancy options and empower you to make the best choice for your life.

Sexual assault care– Sexual Abuse Victims Anonymous (SAVAanon) is a safe place where survivors of sexual abuse can find compassion, hope and a path to recovery.  Confidential, online classes are currently available. For more information or to register for an online SAVAnon group, email help@savanon.org Referrals to licensed mental health providers are also available.

STIs medical services and care – The stigma associated with having a sexually transmitted infection as well as the worry about long term possible side effects add to the trauma of finding out you have an STI. Insight Women’s Center provides a safe, confidential place for testing and treatment for chlamydia and/or gonorrhea, additional information on all types of STI’s, and education about healthy relationships.

Miscarriage care – The impact of miscarriage is often underestimated.  Insight Women’s Center recognizes the loss and anguish you may be feeling.  Monthly support groups and weekend retreats provide hope and healing from trauma associated with a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.

After-abortion care– Abortion seemed like the right answer at the time.  So, why is it hurting you more than you ever thought possible? Whether your involvement in an abortion was a month ago or forty years ago, you might be affected by it more than you would have thought.  Abortion Anonymous (AbAnon) provides a path to healing for those affected by an abortion decision. For more information or to register for an Abanon group, email joinus@abanon.org. Referrals to licensed mental health providers are also available.

A second option for after-abortion care is the Forgiven and Set Free retreats. The goal of our after-abortion retreat is to help women reclaim and restore their peace of mind and self-worth.  Our team of facilitators have all been touched by or involved in an abortion one way or another. Most of us have attend a retreat ourselves, experiencing compassion and healing.

We are here to help women find healing and hope.

Additional Questions You Might Have?

We are committed to support women throughout their pregnancy decision journey. We are prepared to provide after-abortion support to women who feel they can benefit from this service.
In Kansas, the law requires anyone under 18 to obtain consent from both parents to get an abortion. If your parents are separated or divorced, only the parent with custody needs to consent to the abortion. Scheduling an appointment with IWC does not require parental consent.  As we talk through your pregnancy options, we will discuss ways you can tell your parents about your pregnancy and how to include them in your decision-making process.

Please allow anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes for your appointment. Our administrative assistant can give you a better idea of how much time your appointment will take depending on the services you request when scheduling.
